Public Regulation Commission to hear Las Campanas Petition August 27, 2002

When the City of Santa Fe was in the process of purchasing the Sangre de Cristo Water Company in 1994 and 1995 the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) issued orders pertaining to that purchase. Now Las Campanas has petitioned the PRC to order that the City of Santa Fe would be in violation of those original orders if the City attempted to restrict the delivery of water to the Las Campanas golf courses in accordance with the City Emergency Water Shortage Ordinance.

Furthermore Las Campanas requests that the PRC take action to enforce this requested new order against the City.

The assertions that Las Campanas makes for contending that the City would be in violation of the original PRC orders, and in fact already is, are listed on pages four and five of the Petition posted on this web site on August 20, 2002 (Las Campanas Petitions - - -).

The PRC will hold its initial hearing on this petition by Las Campanas at a public working session that will convene at 9:30 AM, Tuesday August 27, 2002 on the fourth floor of the PERA building across Old Santa Fe Trail from the State Capitol
