City of Santa Fe owed $ millions for water
On 8/12/02 this writer filed a Request For Public Records with the City of Santa Fe requesting information about monies due the City for water deliveries. On 8/28/02 the City provided the following information:
The total $ amount currently uncollected for water delivered prior to July 1, 2001 when the City took over the complete operation of the Water Division from PNM amounts to $4,233,205 of which $456,240 has not been billed!
The City is unable to determine the $ amount that is more than 30 days past due for water delivered since July 1, 2001!
